Kocaeli Governor Seddar Yavuz visited the Kocaeli Alikahya Organized Industrial Zone (Kocaeli Alikahya OIZ) and received information from the OIZ Board of Directors about the ongoing works and the projects planned to be implemented in the new period. Governor Yavuz conducted on-site inspections within Kocaeli Alikahya OIZ and also visited factories operating in the zone.

During the visit, Governor Seddar Yavuz was welcomed by Kocaeli Alikahya OIZ Chairman of the Board Yalçın Sönmez, Deputy Chairman Ercihan Zorlu, Board Members Sultan Hamit Velioğlu and Kemal Arıcı, and Board Member and Regional Director Nevzat Göçer. Governor Yavuz met with Chairman Yalçın Sönmez, Regional Director Nevzat Göçer, and the Board Members, held discussions, and received a briefing on the activities carried out. The OIZ Board presented information on the latest stage of development of Kocaeli Alikahya OIZ, explained the ongoing infrastructure and superstructure works as well as the new-period projects under development, and delivered a detailed digital presentation about the zone.

Emphasizing that the development and growth of the country will be achieved through production, Governor Seddar Yavuz stated that Organized Industrial Zones (OIZs)—especially those in Kocaeli—are production hubs that serve as role models for Türkiye.

Following the presentation, Governor Yavuz met with the leaders of a team composed of Kocaeli University Faculty of Engineering students who are carrying out a “model satellite” project sponsored by Kocaeli Alikahya OIZ, and received information about their work. The students will compete in TEKNOFEST with their model satellite project.

Governor Seddar Yavuz then toured the entire zone, observing ongoing works on site and conducting inspections. Subsequently, he visited Türeller Makina San. ve Tic. Ltd. Şti. and Yıldız Demir Çelik Sanayi ve Tic. Ltd. Şti., which operate within Kocaeli Alikahya OIZ. He examined the companies’ production and export-oriented activities on site and received information from company officials.

During the visit to Türeller Makina, Governor Yavuz was welcomed by Chairman of the Board Mehmet Türel, General Manager Sinan Türel, and Commercial Manager Mustafa Oral, who provided information about the facility.

At the Yıldız Demir Çelik factory visit, Governor Yavuz was welcomed by Chairman of Yıldızlar Investment Holding and Chairman of Yıldız Demir Çelik Fehmi Yıldız, Board Member of Yıldızlar Investment Holding Hakkı Yıldız, and Factory Director Kemal Kumru, who briefed him on the facility.

Governor Yavuz thanked the industrialists and the OIZ Management for their contributions to employment, production, and exports.
